The Mitutoyo limit micrometer is ideal for checking to ensure workpieces are within set tolerance limits, as well as taking highly accurate outside dimension measurements. Both sets of anvils and spindles are constructed of hardened steel, manufactured with exceptional precision in our own Japanese factory. Each thimble and spindle operates independently with the same measuring accuracy. A ratchet-stop mechanism provides uniform pressure on a workpiece for precise, repeatable measurements.
- Vernier scales on the thimble provide precise outside diameter measurements to within +/-0.003mm accuracy
- Measuring surfaces are constructed of carbide for exceptional flatness and lasting durability
- Ratchet mechanism provides an audible click to ensure measurement performs at a constant force
- Knurled friction thimbles provide quick adjustments even when wearing gloves
- Satin chrome finish on the sleeve and laser etched measurements on thimble for easier reading
