The Mitutoyo mechanical paper thickness micrometer uses extremely flat discs machined with high precision in our own Japanese facilities to measure paper thickness. The non-rotating spindle applies uniform pressure on the paper while a ratchet-stop mechanism delivers constant force and eliminates over-speed errors for precise, repeatable measurements.
